Gandhinagar Sector 7 police has registered a case against husband and mother-in-law of a professor in a private medical college for domestic violence after the later made a complaint of domestic violence.
The woman has complained that she was using her phone for checking how to do puja to which her mother-in-law objected. She started beating the complainant. Later her husband asked for the phone, she replied to him to wait. The husband got angry upon hearing this and started too beating her.
The 28-year-old woman is married since last 8 months to a man from Vavol in Gandhinagar. After the ruckus at home, the woman consumed poison with an intention to commit suicide. However, she vomited and the husband brought her to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital.
