There’s always a keen interest when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Gujarat, even though the state is his home. On October 30 and 31, he will lay the foundation for projects worth Rs 5,950 crore at a function in the state’s Mehsana district, a media house reported.
At around 8 AM on Tuesday, he will visit Kevadia to offer a floral tribute at the Statue of Unity. At approximately 11:15 AM, he is slated to address the officer trainees of the 98th Common Foundation Course in Aarambh 5.0.
According to an official statement, PM Modi will dedicate, inaugurate, and lay the foundation stone for projects totalling approximately Rs. 5800 crores across a number of industries, including rail, roads, irrigation, and drinking water.
Reports said that the projects that will be inaugurated include the New Bhandu-New Sanand(N) section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), the doubling of the Viramgam-Samakhiali rail line, the Katosan Road-Bechraji – Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL Siding) Rail Project, project for recharging various village lakes in the talukas of Vijapur and Mansa in the districts of Mehsana and Gandhinagar, the Valasana barrage on the Sabarmati River in Mehsana District, two schemes for providing drinking water in Palanpur, Banaskantha, and the Dharoi dam-based Palanpur lifeline.
The Prime Minister will celebrate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas to invigorate the spirit of preserving and strengthening the nation’s unity, integrity, and security, according to a PMO statement.
On October 31, Prime Minister Modi will participate in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas event and honour Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He will see the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Parade, where BSF and other state police units will be marching in formation.
The all-female CRPF Bikers’ daredevil show, the BSF’s women’s pipe band, the Gujarat women police’s choreographed programme, the NCC’s special show, school bands’ performance, the Indian Air Force’s flyby, and a display of the prosperous villages’ economic potential are just a few of the highlights.
Additionally, PM Modi will launch several development projects totalling Rs 160 crore in Kevadia. The Heritage Train, the Narmada Aarti Live project, Kamalam Park, 30 new e-buses, 210 e-bikes, and several golf carts, as well as the City Gas Distribution Network in Ekta Nagar and Gujarat State Cooperative Bank’s Sahkar Bhawan are among the projects that will be inaugurated. In addition, PM Modi will dedicate a solar panel and the Sub-District Hospital at Kevadia.
