Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has lauded Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi as a courageous politician who has a remarkable capacity to take criticism.
During the India Today Conclave, he said, “I like a brave and honest politician.”
When asked whom he considers to be a courageous politician capable of leading India into the future—whether it be Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, or AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal—Khan responded that they are all brave politicians.
He continued to commend Gandhi for overcoming the mistreatment he had previously experienced. “I think what Rahul Gandhi has done is also very impressive. There was a point when people were disrespecting things he was saying or things he was doing. I think he has turned that around by working very hard in a very interesting way,” said Khan.
Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed said that Gandhi had shifted people’s views of him and uploaded the video on her X account.
“Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is full of praise for LoP Rahul Gandhi Ji. What he says is absolutely true—Rahul Gandhi Ji has changed people’s views about him through his hard work,” she said.
