On the occasion of International Women’s day, we had conversation with fellow amdavadis in Vo! Adda’s third episode. We asked them if they would want to see some changes for women in modern Indian society. We interacted with students, women entrepreneurs, housewives and working women in this episode and got some interesting insights.
We met Saroj, a 36 year old women working at a pizza joint who worries for the future of her children. She throws some light on girls education. “Society’s mindset towards girls education must change.” She urged people living in rural areas to educate their girl child so that she can become independent .
Asha Malji cafe owner said that learning things get easy if they get support from their spouse. She mentioned her struggle in learning English to get USA citizenship and how her spouse helped her with it.
While, Khyati and Hinali, entrepreneurs, said that whenever they had to deal with new clients, they , especially the male ones always seek some male beside them to take decision. Khyati said that people are still not to used to see independent female entrepreneurs and this perception should change.
