On Tuesday, the Delhi Commission for Women issued a notice to Delhi Police asking for a response regarding the rape threats that the nine-months old daughter of cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma.
The Deputy Commissioner of Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police Cyber Crime Branch, the DCW has demanded an immediate action to be taken against the online comment.
The DCW released a notice and said that there has been multiple reports of online threats being give to rape the nine months old girl child of Virat Kohlti since the team’s defeat in the recent India-Pakistan cricket match.
The notice added that they have also learnt that even Kohli is being attacked since he spoke against the trolling of his teammate Md Shami who was benign targeted for his religion.
On Tuesday, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) issued a notice to Delhi Police regarding the online threats of rape to the nine-month-old daughter of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma, Vamika.
The DCW is seeking for a copy of the FIR registered in the matter and details of the accused and further action being taken by the police by November 8. The notice has been undersigned by the DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal.
Vamika, the nine months old daughter of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma has been getting rape threats ever since Virat Kohli supported Mohammad Shami. In a statement, Virat Kohli lashed out at the trolls that discriminate against a particular religion and said that the entire team stands in support of Shami.
However, this led to many nasty comments on social media including rape threats for his daughter.
