Veteran actor Tabassum, who was well-known for her work as a child performer and as the host of the well-liked Doordarshan talk show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan, passed away on Saturday after having a cardiac arrest, according to her son Hoshang Govil.
She was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. We went there for a checkup because she was having stomach issues. She had two cardiac arrests at 8.40 and 8.42 p.m. She passed away peacefully on Friday night,” Hoshang said
Tabassum was known as Baby Tabassum as a child artist and appeared in films such as Nargis, Mera Suhaag, Manjhdhar, and Bari Behen in the late 1940s.
From 1972 to 1993, she hosted the celebrity talk show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan on Doordarshan.
