Renowned film and television actor Rituraj Singh, aged 59, succumbed to a cardiac arrest. As per the media reports, Singh had been grappling with pancreatic issues for a while, leading to his recent hospitalisation, where he suffered a cardiac arrest.
The news of his demise sent shockwaves through the industry, with friends, family, and fans expressing their grief and paying tributes on social media.
Over his illustrious career spanning several decades, Singh left an indelible mark on both the small and big screens. He is fondly remembered for his roles in popular TV shows such as Tol Mol Ke Bol, Jyoti, Kutumb, and Laado 2. His filmography includes notable movies like Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Yaariyan 2. His recent performances in Anupamaa and Made in Heaven further showcased his acting prowess.
Amit Behl, a close friend of Singh, confirmed the unfortunate news. He was quoted by Times of India as saying, “Yes, he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital some time back for treatment of pancreas. [He] returned home, had some cardiac complications and passed away.” Singh’s untimely demise has indeed left a void in the industry that will be hard to fill.
