Nisha Kumari plans to complete the feat In 180 Days via Nepal, China, Tibet And Europe

Vadodara girl Nisha Kumari, who climbed Mount Everest last year, is embarking on yet another adventure. She is undertaking a 15,000-km bicycle journey from Vadodara to London to create awareness on climate change.

The 28-year-old has started her 180-day journey which will cover 16 countries. Nisha will be planting trees in all 200 cities she will visit during her cycling expedition. She is planning to cover 80-100 km a day. She has a backup car and her coach Nilesh Barot is accompanying her on the journey.

Route planned

The Route: ​​​​​​​India – Nepal – China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan – Russia – Latvia – Lithuania – Poland – Czech Republic – Austria – Germany – Netherlands – Belgium – France – London (UK). 

Nisha would first arrive in Delhi via Rajasthan and Ahmedabad before proceeding to Nepal. From Nepal, she will enter China through Tibet. She will travel through Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia before reaching Europe through Latvia, France, and the Czech Republic.

The environmental activist has expressed her desire to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and has sought an appointment with the PM. “To spread awareness about climate change and with the theme of ‘Change the Climate Change’, I will be planting trees in over 200 cities across 16 countries,” she said. 

“I aim to complete the journey in 133 days, and reach London on November 2, or around Diwali as the day after Diwali is Gujarati New Year, says Nisha.
