Unseasonal rain is forecast for Gujarat in the coming days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting scattered showers at the beginning of February. The rainfall is expected to occur on February 2 and 3, although Ahmedabad will remain dry with clear skies.
The IMD’s report indicates light rain in isolated areas of South Gujarat, including Valsad, Navsari, Daman, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, on February 2.
On February 3, the rain belt is expected to shift to North Gujarat, affecting districts such as Aravalli, Dahod, and Mahisagar. Light showers may continue in Saurashtra, particularly in Amreli and Bhavnagar.
An official advised residents of South Gujarat, Saurashtra, and North Gujarat to stay alert and plan accordingly.
“However, Ahmedabad is expected to have stable and dry weather as February unfolds,” the official said.
Ahmedabad’s weather is expected to remain clear, with the minimum temperature around 17°C. On January 28, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 30.2°C and a minimum of 16.6°C.
