On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel which is marked as National Unity Day in India, the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah along with his wife visited the Jungle Safari park at the world-known Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat.
The union Home Minister took to micro-blogging site – Twitter to share the glimpses of his visit. “Visited the Jungle Safari in Kevadia. PM Narendra Modi Ji’s vision has transformed this place into one of India’s major tourist attractions. There is so much to see, feel and capture in Kevadia. On National Unity Day, I appeal to all our countrymen to visit this beautiful place,” he tweeted.
Before his visit to Jungle Safari park, he paid floral tribute to Sardar Vallabh Patel, at the Statue of Unity, on his birth anniversary.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion at Kevadia in Gujarat’s Narmada district, Amit Shah said that “Some unfortunate attempts were made to forget Sardar Patel. After independence, he was not given Bharat Ratna and the respect that he deserved.”
