Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the elevated corridor connecting the Gota Flyover to Sola Science City Flyover in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday. With the operation of the 2.36 km long elevated corridor, constructed at the cost of Rs 170 crore, one of the busiest road junctions in the city will be relieved from traffic jam issues.
The 1.48 km long flyover from Thaltej Underpass to Sola Railway Bridge has been operational since June 27. The inauguration of this 2.36 km long elevated corridor results in a continuous 4.18 km long flyover, reducing the travel time from Ahmedabad to the capital city, Gandhinagar by at least 20 minutes. The general public will have easy and fast transportation on National Highway 147 from this elevated corridor.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s parliamentary constituency S.G. This elevated corridor constructed on the highway will directly benefit four important road junctions namely Sola Bhagwat, Kargil Petrol Pump, Janata Nagar and Zydus. The public will now be able to reach Gandhinagar in 20-25 minutes from Ahmedabad.
