Uber rides will become more expensive in a few days. The cab service company will raise fares by 12 percent. According to a recent announcement, Uber took this step because of rising fuel prices. Earlier, the company had also announced a fare hike, especially for Mumbai, for the same reason. The increased fares will relieve cab drivers of high fuel prices.
Nitish Bhushan, Head of Central Operations at Uber India and Uber South Asia, said, “The recent feedback from drivers focuses on the concern of high fuel prices.”
“Uber has hiked trip fares in Delhi NCR by 12% to help drivers with the impact of rising fuel prices. In the coming weeks, we will continue to track the movement of fuel prices and take further action as required,” he added.
Uber Mumbai announced a price hike of 15% a few days ago. Bhushan mentioned that a similar scenario might occur in the entire country if the fuel prices keep rising.
