In an assembly of thousands at Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar on Tuesday, national leaders and dignitaries joined Mahant Swami Maharaj in paying tribute to incessant travels of Pramukh Swami Maharaj (PSM) over 45 years to ignite spirituality in people’s lives around the world.
Pramukh Swami personified the ancient scriptural message, “A Sadhu is someone who travels for the benefits of the society.” On the other hand, on the occasion, PSM’s biographer Adarshjivandas Swami, narrated episodes from his and about the faith he fostered in society through his travels.” He said, ‘PSM was the embodiment of indomitable faith. He used to say that faith is the mother of all virtues. He trusted everyone he met. He always magnified positivity in people.”
Managing Director Of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, Ltd., (AMUL), Rupinder Singh Sodhi, said that, “Dr. Verghese Kurien had great reverence for PSM and had often said, ‘what PSM did for society, is so immense that my work appears negligible. He added, mof the many facets of PSM’s leadership, I have been most impressed by his ability to connect with everyone, especially today’s youth. He made impossible, possible- whether it is in the form of building temples or doing relief work. He transformed lives.”
Other dignitaries, who were present at the event included Piyush Goyal, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, N V Ramana, former Chief Justice of India, Meenesh Shah, Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board, and Swami Ramdevji Maharaj , Yogacharya of the Patanjali Yog Peeth, Praful Patel, former Union Minister, Vajubhai Vala, former governor of Karnataka; Balkrishna Shukla , MLA and Chief whip of Gujarat BJP.
