IAS topper, Tina Dabi has been in the limelight ever since she filed for divorce from her husband Athar Amir. Today their divorce application has been stamped by the family court. Their marriage had made a lot of headlines in 2018. And the discussions of their meeting were also going on in the media with a lot of noise.
How did both of them meet?
Tina Dabi had topped the UPSC exam in the year 2015, while Athar Aamir Khan, a resident of Kashmir, stood second in this exam in the same year. The two first met on 11 May 2015 at the office of the Department of Personnel and Training, North Block. While, both Athar and Tina were completing their training, their eyes collided and their love story began.
Wedding in Jaipur and reception in Delhi and Kashmir
When Tina was informed about her marriage through Twitter, everyone was stunned. Both got married on March 20 in Jaipur in front of Collector Siddharth Mahajan. After that, both of them gave a grand reception to their relatives twice.
Strongly opposed to Hindu and Muslim marriage
The marriage of these two was also named Love Jihad. But both of them did not pay any attention to the comments made by the people on the marriage and kept their love intact.
How did the relationship break down?
Tina Dabi unfollowed Athar from her Twitter account and Instagram in late 2020. Not only this, both of them had unfriended each other from Facebook. Then, Tina also removed the Kashmiri daughter-in-law’s hashtag from her Instagram and from there the rumours of their separation caught fire. And in November 2020, the news of their divorce was stamped.
