Three Gujarat police personnel died and one was critically injured in a road accident in Sirsa district, Haryana, on the Bharat Mala Highway early on Wednesday morning. The vehicle, en route from Ahmedabad to Punjab for an investigation, collided with a stationary trailer near Sakatakheda village, close to the Vadingkheda petrol pump.
The deceased have been identified as Police Constable Sunil Gamit, Home Guard Ravindra, and a private driver named Kanubhai Bharwad. PSI J P Solanki from the Ramol police station, who was also in the car, sustained severe injuries and was referred to a hospital in Bathinda for further treatment.
The accident occurred on the Dabwali to Chautala stretch of the highway. Emergency services, including the NHAI team and local police, promptly responded to the scene. The bodies of the deceased and the injured officer were transported to a hospital.
Dabwali Police initiated an investigation and contacted the Gujarat Police regarding the incident. The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined, with authorities conducting a thorough inquiry.
