Thousands of candidates flocked to Palanpur today for the recruitment of 600 Gujarat Gram Rakshak Dal (GRD) personnel after the state government announced recruitment campaigns in different departments. This sparked a scuffle between the recruiters to get involved in the recruitment process.
The situation got worse and the police also lathicharged. The whole situation smeared a lot of confusion among the candidates who were waiting to be involved in the recruitment process.
Vavna MLA Ganiben Thakor addressed the youth after the witnessing the situation at the Palanpur police headquarters. She also had conversations with unemployed youth and officials. Ganiben Thakore, who has been harassing the youth, targeted the government and said that the failure of the Bharatiya Janata Party government to provide jobs was evident from the crowd.
State Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi addressed around 450 aspirants for the upcoming practical exams of the police recruitment drive for Lok Rakshak Dal, Police Sub-Inspectors and Assistant Sub-Inspectors at the open ground of the Surat Municipal corporation at Jehangirpura.
“You will find certain elements who give assurances that they will manage all the procedures and you will get recruited. I have come here to tell you that there are certain rules and regulations made for recruitment and those eligible will get a chance in the police recruitment drive. I assure you that not a single ineligible candidate will be recruited,” Sanghavi said.
