This 11-year-old climate change activist is raising awareness on carbon tax by walking 200 miles

Jude Walker, an 11-year-old boy is using his time to raise awareness for a petition in Zero Carbon’s campaign. At an age where kids would play video games and binge-watch, Walker is passionate about protecting the climate.

He is a climate activist who has committed to complete a 200-mile walk from Hebden Bridge to London in 20 days. He set off on his trip on July 25 and had walked 10 miles a day until August 14.

In an interview, Walker explained how becoming a climate change activist was a gradual thing for him. He gathered information regarding carbon tax from various books on climate change and soon realised its importance. He stated that companies would change if the government made the change profitable. After gathering more information about climate change and carbon tax, he decided to change something.

Walker started his journey as a climate change activist a few years back however decided to fully focus on the matter in January, this year.
