The coronavirus pandemic has unravelled many heart-breaking incidents in the country. In Hyderabad, an eight-year-old boy from Hyderabad is driving an e-rickshaw to get food on the table for his family. Many are shocked after spotting a rickshaw driver who wears a school uniform.
Gopal Krishna is a third grader and drives an e-rickshaw to support his family as both of his parents are blind and he also has siblings to support. He takes his parents to work in the e-rickshaw after studying. His parents sell vegetables and groceries in different parts of the city of Chandragiri.
They are three siblings and as Gopal is the eldest, he helps in earning. All of the three children are physically fit and the couple is working hard for their better future.
Gopal’s father said that the government should increase their pension. As they only receive 3,000 rupees and that is not enough considering the inflation. The life is not very easy and Gopal has been arrested for driving at such a tender age and was released only after he promised to quit.
