On April 7, the Tata Group will unveil its much-anticipated super app, named ‘Neu.’ On its app as well as the Google Play Store, the company announced the inaugural date of ‘Neu,’ stating that “start your new journey with us on April 7.” With the announcement of the super app’s launch date, Tata Group hopes to compete with Amazon and Jio Platforms in the consumer digital economy space in the ‘mobile-first’ country.
What is the Tata Neu app?
The new app ‘Neu’ from Indian conglomerate Tata Group will bring together all of the company’s digital services and apps on a single platform. “Consume cutting-edge digital content, make payments, manage your finances, plan your next trip or perhaps just your next meal – there’s loads to explore and experience in the world of Tata Neu,” the app’s description said on its Play Store website. Tata Group, which has been testing ‘Neu’ with its workers for some time, plans to phase out various loyalty programs such as BigBasket and 1mg and merge them with ‘NeuCoins.’

Tata Neu has everything from food to toys to vacations. With Tata Pay, you can pay for whatever you choose, including online and in-store purchases, energy bills, and more.”
The users also get rewarded every time they shop, book flights and hotels, and more. One can make payments across multiple Tata brand apps, websites, and in-store using NeuCoins, cards, UPI, EMI, and more.
