For the unversed, actor Taapsee Pannu is seeing Mathias Boe, the doubles coach for the Indian men’s badminton squad. And now that Team India has scripted history by lifting the Thomas Cup, Taapsee has every reason to be over the moon!!
The shuttlers made History on Sunday by crushing 14-time champs Indonesia. And while credit is due to squad members Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj-Chirag Shetty and Kidambi Srikanth, an equal amount of accolade goes to coach Mathias Boe.
The duo have been seeing each other for a while now. Following India’s victory, Taapsee uploaded a photo of one of the players hugging Mathias with the caption: “Mr Coach you made us proud (sic).”
All through the tournament, Taapsee had been posting updates on social media. She took to Stories to celebrate India’s victory after the team won the opening two matches in the best-of-five tie.
In an earlier interview to a lifestyle magazine, Taapsee owned up saying: “Being with someone outside the industry was something I always wanted. Fortunately, I met the person I feel comfort in being with quite early in my career. Our opinions are so diverse and opposing that our debates remain enthralling and fascinating. Even after so many years, the cultural interchange is still so beautiful.” Mathais hails from Denmark.
On the work front, Taapsee’s upcoming projects include Blurr, Tadka, Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan, Shabaash Mithu, Dunki and Dobaaraa. She was most recently seen in the films Looop Lapeta and Rashmi Rocket.
