Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu and former Olympic medalist Mathias Boe exchanged vows in a private ceremony on March 23. The wedding, held in Udaipur, was attended by the couple’s families and closest friends.
The couple, known for their private nature, ensured that their special day remained a low-key affair, away from media attention. The pre-wedding festivities began on March 20, leading up to the intimate ceremony.
Despite the absence of many Bollywood celebrities, the wedding was graced by some of Pannu’s closest peers. Pavail Gulati, Pannu’s co-star from ‘Dobaaraa’ and ‘Thappad’, was among the attendees. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who shares a close bond with Pannu and has directed her in films like ‘Manmarziyaan’ and ‘Dobaara’, also made his presence felt at the event.
Kanika Dhillon, who has collaborated with Pannu on several projects as a writer, attended the wedding with her husband Himanshu Sharma. Dhillon recently shared pictures on Instagram with the hashtag ‘#MereYaarKiShaadi’, hinting at the couple’s nuptials.
Pavail Gulati also shared a snapshot on Instagram featuring Pannu’s sister Shagun Pannu, cousin Evania Pannu, close friend and actor Abhilash Thapliyal,and badminton player Chirag Shetty, further confirming the wedding.
Pannu and Boe, a Danish badminton coach, first met at the inaugural Indian Badminton League in 2013. Their relationship blossomed over the years, leading to their recent nuptials after over a decade of dating.
On the professional front, Pannu is set to appear in upcoming films ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba’, ‘Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan’and ‘Khel Khel Mein’. Her last release was ‘Dunki’, where she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
