The Chamber of Commerce has organised a three-day exhibition in Atlanta to promote Surat’s textile sector. At the expo, there are stalls displaying yarn from Surat to finished cloth. According to the Chamber, overseas purchasers have fallen in love with Surat fabrics.
The Chamber’s Global Textile Trade Fair entered its second day on Saturday. Many overseas businessmen have expressed an interest in forming economic relationships. The fair features Indian ethnic wear for ladies, Kurti-kurta, home textile, medical textile, apparel and garments, handicraft, and handloom.
The exhibition has been said to have attracted a considerable number of people, according to Ashish Gujarati, the Chamber’s president. The textile industries of Surat create viscose and linen fabric, which is particularly appealing to foreign purchasers. The fair has even drawn the attention of the owner of an Australian corporation.
Following the three-day fair in Atlanta, the Chamber scheduled a B2B and B2C table-top buyer-seller meet in New Jersey on June 16 and a B2C table-top buyer-seller meet in California on June 19.
