The Special Operation Group (SOG) of Surat Police apprehended three individuals posing as doctors and practicing medicine without proper qualifications. The trio, migrants from Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, were arrested by the Dindoli police.
The impostors had been masquerading as medical practitioners for a period ranging from 3 to 8 years. Indresh Pal, originally from Jonpur, Uttar Pradesh, was operating the Matoshri clinic on CR Patil road. Bimal Chakrawarti, a migrant from West Bengal, was running the Madhumita clinic in Harinagar society. Sanjay Maurya, hailing from Pratapgadh in Uttar Pradesh, was in charge of the Sai clinic in Shivnagar society.
Despite only having completed education up to class 10-12, all three individuals falsely claimed to hold BEMS degrees, as indicated by the signage outside their clinics. Prior to their fraudulent medical practice, they had been working as compounders.
The police have seized various items from their possession, including pills, injections, syrups and cash.
