In a bid just to speak to Jacqueline Fernandez, who was clearly avoiding his calls, conman Sukesh Chandrashekar posed as a ministry official. This came to light Monday in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) chargesheet.
The ongoing cases of money laundering and fraudulent monetary transactions against Sukesh took a new turn with this allegation by the actor. Currently, ED is focussed on trailing the charges of duping Aditi Singh, the wife of former Ranbaxy promoter Shivinder Singh of a whopping Rs 200 crore.
Reportedly, when Sukesh initiated contact through her make-up artist, Jacqueline declined to entertain. He then faked a business call, stating that he was from Jayalalithaa’s political party and owner of Sun TV.
Living a high-flying life and beautiful women seem to be at the crux of Sukesh’s fraudulent intent. He scripted dubious monetary deals, posed as a tax officer and even undertook money laundering shady roles for bigger conglomerates… all to power his spends and desires.
The chargesheet states that Sukesh was in touch with Fernandez till his arrest, provided gifts to her and her family, arranged chartered flights to fly within India and her hotel stay and pampered her with lavish gifts. During questioning, Jacqueline admitted to having received expensive Gucci and Chanel designer bags, Gucci outfits for gym wear, a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamond earrings, a bracelet of multi-coloured stones and two Hermes bracelets. She also received a Mini Cooper, which she returned,
The ED added that a BMW car had been gifted to actor Nora Fatehi in December 2020.
