Global fast food chain Subway has come up with a unique offer, i.e. to give free sandwiches to people. Yes you heard it right. It is absolutely free and for all your life. But here is the caveat. You can only avail of this offer, only if you vow to change your first name to ‘Subway’ — legally.
In case you have no qualms to change your name for your free treat, the process is simple. You only need to visit the website SubwayNameChange.com between August 1 and 4 and win free Subway Deli Heroes for life if you legally commit to changing your name.
After registering the name, Subway will select one winner to earn free sandwiches and assume a new identity. The food chain will also bear the legal fee of the winner.
“Between August 1 and August 4, Subway superfans and sandwich lovers can visit SubwayNameChange.com, and enter to win free Subway Deli Heroes for life if they commit to legally change their name,’ Subway said in a statement.
“Subway will select one lucky winner to earn free sandwiches and assume an iconic new identity. Subway will provide the winner with money to reimburse them for legal and processing costs for the name change, making it easy and effortless to become Subway and enjoy a lifetime of delicious subs,” it further said.
However, this is not the first time that Subway has come up with such a unique offer.
In 2022, the food chain launched a contest for year-long free sandwiches where people were required to get themselves inked with a tattoo. The size and dimensions of the tattoo would be in proportion with the cash prize on a first-come, first-serve basis.
As of today, Subway serves made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, salads and bowls across more than 100 countries and territories in nearly 37,000 restaurants every day.
