State Monitoring cell raided a hookah bar adjacent to Taj Hotel at Sindhubhavan road Ahmedabad on Monday. The Monitoring cell arrested 60 young men and eight young women from the Secret Nine hookah bar in this raid. This hookah bar was run by Dhruv Thakar, Ashish Patel and Karan Patel at a property owned by a man called Mahendra Patel.
After the raid, the statement given by the PI of Sarkhej police said “It’s been only one and a half months since I have shifted here. This raid has been carried out by officers senior to me.”
Further, another vigilance official also stated that this hookah bar has been running for the last four-five months. The police have registered a case of a prohibition on the bar.
Reportedly, this hookah bar has been raided by the state monitoring department on the instructions of Vigilance Officer Nirlipta Rai. The Officials have also stated that the place is vastly famous among the consumers and when they began the raid the place was filled with people waiting for their turn at one of the 29 tables inside the bar.
