The Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande stated that the situation along the Chinese border is “stable” but “unpredictable,” and troops are sufficiently placed to handle any emergency.
The forces stationed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) have been able to maintain a robust posture to counter any wicked designs of the opponent in a tough and decisive way, General Pande added during a press conference in advance of Army Day.
Although uncertain, the situation is stable and under control. According to Gen Pande, sufficient force deployments have been made along the LAC to handle any challenges.
“Our troops have been able to maintain a robust posture. We continue to talk both at the military and diplomatic levels,” he said. Five of the seven concerns on the table have been settled, according to the Army chief. He stated, with reference to the conflict in Jammu and Kashmir, that the February 2021 ceasefire agreement is still in effect.
Gen Pande added that terrorist infrastructure and cross-border support continued. The government has been handed a proposal allowing the enlistment of women in artillery units.
