SRK Loses Over 4 Crore Per Shoot As BYJU Hits Pause On His Ads

| Updated: October 10, 2021 13:24

SRK has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons after his son Aryan Khan was arrested from a cruise ship for the consumption of illegal substances. Meanwhile, SRK has called off his upcoming projects to be with his family in Mumbai, and recently BYJU’S took the hard decision to pause their association with the superstar.  Even though the ads were prebooked, BYJU’s team has decided to not continue with the actor as the face of their brand.

BYJU’s team had received a major backlash by netizens due to Aryan Khan drug haul and his father being the face of the learning company which aids students to learn and secure their future. Even the prebooked IPL ads were paused on the same lines by BYJU’s.

SRK got his first endorsement deal in 1988 with Liberty Shoes. Since then, his brand image has grown leaps and bounds. SRK signed up with BYJU’s in 2017 and is said to have charged 3-4 crore per shoot. BYJU’s was one of the major revenue generation prospects for brand SRK along with other market giants like Hyundai, JIO, LG, Dubai tourism etc.

Recently, Khad had returned to the Indian ad market by becoming the face of two new brands, Disney+Hotstar, making his debut on the OTT platform and Imagine Meats, a vegan meat seller company which is owned by Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh. The actor launched the later one.
