The immensely dark and publicized Korean show Squid Games unraveled its new season with a short video leaving the world in a stupor.
Global megahit “Squid games” got a greenlit for a new season. A short teaser is out on social media with the animatronic doll, one who began the terror in the first season. In the doll’s eye, ‘2’ lights up in a red light indicating the new season’s arrival. There is still no estimated release date for the new season.
Along with the teaser, a small note by Squid Game’s writer, director, producer, and creator Hwang Dong-hyuk is out disentangling minute details about the upcoming season.
The note read, “It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular Netflix series ever. As the writer, director, and producer of Squid Game, a huge shout out to fans around the world. Thank you for watching and loving our show. And now, Gi-hun returns. The Front Man returns. Season 2 is coming. The man in the suit with ddakji might be back. You’ll also be introduced to Young-hee’s boyfriend Cheoul-su.”
Secondly, Squid Games is a Korean series on insolvent people struggling for money. They stumble into a “quick” way to earn cash by playing childhood games. One simple rule, If you lose, you die.
The anticipation for the show has now begun! Let’s see the extent of Season 2.
