The Revengeful Journey Of Seong Gi-hun And The New Faces Of The Deadly Game The fans of Squid Game, the sensational Korean horror series about a brutal game show that kills its losers, are eagerly waiting for the second season of the show, which is coming soon on Netflix. The streaming giant has released the first look of the upcoming season, which features the return of Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun, the sole survivor of the first season, and the introduction of some new characters, who will join the game. The first look was revealed in a video that showcased the upcoming shows and films on Netflix India’s YouTube channel. The video gave a brief glimpse of Squid Game towards the end, where Lee Jung-jae was seen walking out of an airport in a dark blue suit and a dark pink hairdo. The scene began with his back facing the camera.

Netflix Philippines also shared a post on its X account, where it posted several pictures from the new season. The post said, “Player 456 is ready to do whatever it takes in Squid Game season 2, coming this year.” The pictures showed Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun and Gong Yoo, who are the new additions to the cast. Squid Game became a worldwide phenomenon when it premiered in September 2021, breaking all records to become the most-watched Netflix series ever.
The show, created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, follows the story of hundreds of people who are in debt and desperate for money, who agree to participate in a series of children’s games for a chance to win 45.6 billion won or USD 38.3 million. However, they soon realize that the games are deadly and they have to risk their lives to win. The show explores the themes of greed, inequality, morality and human nature.
