South Western Air Command (SWAC) conducted a Medical and Dental health outreach camp was conducted at Alampur Village (near BSF camp). The theme of this camp was “Swasth Bharat – Healthy India –Medical Outreach Programme” for the benefit of the villagers. The camp was conducted in the primary school of Alampur Village in Gandhinagar district, it was inaugurated by the Commanding Officer, HQ SWAC (Unit) in the presence of the village Sarpanch and the medical team, on Sunday, April 10, 2022.
As part of the programme, a Medical Officer, a Dental Officer, a Specialist Lady Medical Officer (Gynaecology) and a team of paramedical staff from Station Medicare Centre (SMC), Headquarters SWAC (Unit), Air Force and 19 Air Force Dental Centre (Detachment) conducted oral cancer screenings.). It was decided to hold the camp on a Sunday to cover maximum villagers. A total of 23 members from the medical team and 12 members from other sections participated in the camp for its smooth functioning.
Total 117 villagers participated in the camp. The details are as follows:-

As prescribed by the medical and dental officers, the medicines were also distributed to the villagers. As a result of the examination, some of the villagers were advised to seek further specialist opinion and management at Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.
