Sobhita Dhulipala is on the brink of her Hollywood debut with the action-thriller ‘Monkey Man’, where she will co-star with Oscar nominee Dev Patel. The film’s trailer has been unveiled recently, and it has been declared that the movie will premiere in theatres from April 5 this year.
The trailer provides a sneak peek into the storyline of ‘Monkey Man’, which is about a man (portrayed by Dev) who is on a mission of retribution against the corrupt leaders who are responsible for his mother’s demise. The story unfolds with Dev reminiscing about his mother narrating the legend of Lord Hanuman, followed by a critique of the city’s affluent class who disregard the humanity of the impoverished. The trailer features Dev in a gorilla mask, battling adversaries in his pursuit of justice. The trailer offers a brief look at Sobhita, but her character’s details remain undisclosed.
Sobhita shared the trailer on her Instagram, expressing her delight to share the trailer of her first Hollywood film, ‘Monkey Man’, which is set to release globally in theatres on April 5.
The trailer received an enthusiastic response from friends and fans, including her ‘Made In Heaven’ co-star, Trinetra, who described the trailer as “WILD”. Adarsh Gourav also expressed his excitement, describing the trailer as “absolutely mental”.
In addition to Dev Patel and Sobhita Dhulipala, ‘Monkey Man’ features a star-studded cast including Makarand Deshpande, Sikandar Kher, Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Adithi Kalkunte, and Ashwini Kalsekar.
In other news, there are rumors that Sobhita Dhulipala has been cast in a significant role in Alia Bhatt’s forthcoming movie, ‘Jigra’. The speculation began when netizens observed that Alia started following Sobhita on Instagram. A post on the microblogging site X, previously known as Twitter, also suggested that Sobhita Dhulipala has joined the cast of Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’. However, there has been no official confirmation about this yet.
