Parth Oza, internationally acclaimed singer slogged to become a doctor but knew that singing was his true calling. The 35 year old doctor has inherited love for music from his father Shri Sanjay Oza. He resisted conventional social pressures and chose a lifelong career in music.
Popular as the Prince of traditional Garba, Parth spoke to VOI about his love for singing. “ It was in childhood that I developed love for singing and I managed to find time for studies and my hobby. Love can blossom alongside trust and understanding.
Parth who uses music therapy to treat patients, says “ Society does criticise sometimes but eventually accepts individual preferences.’’
Parth was trained by the late Pandit Krishnakant Parikh of Mewati Gharana in childhood . He also got training from his father. Later he had the privilege to learn music from Aniket Khandekar and Niraj Parikh .
Right from childhood, he has been a playback singer for regional ad films, feature films and private albums. He has acted in feature films like HUTUTUTU – Aavi Raman ni Rhutu , Pela Adhi Akshar , Backbenchers , Midnights with Menka[2] . He is a playback singer for the films Gujjubhai The Great , Aapne To Che Bindaas , Pela Adhi Akshar , Ishq no Rang and Armaan.
