The action-packed thriller Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan, has achieved impressive numbers at the worldwide box office since its release. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film amassed Rs 146 crore in domestic gross and approximately Rs 40 crore in overseas markets, bringing its total worldwide box office earnings to Rs 186 crore by its first Monday.
The latest film in the Singham franchise, also referred to as Singham 3, is set to cross the Rs 200 crore mark globally, according to trade reports from Sacnilk. At the domestic box office, the film recorded Rs 139.25 crore in net collections, with a strong opening weekend that included Rs 43.5 crore on day one, Rs 42.5 crore on day two, Rs 35.75 crore on day three and Rs 17.5 crore on day four.
Singham Again has surpassed the opening weekend records of previous Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn films, including Golmaal Again and Chennai Express. The film is also on track to outdo the lifetime India collections of Devgn’s previous release, Shaitaan, which earned Rs 148.21 crore domestically.
The film follows the daring police officer Bajirao Singham, played by Devgn, as he leads a cross-border mission to rescue his wife, Avni (Kareena Kapoor Khan), from the clutches of the villain Danger Lanka. The star-studded cast also includes Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar reprising their roles from Simmba and Sooryavanshi, respectively, along with Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, and Dayanand Shetty in pivotal roles.
Released on November 3, Singham Again is competing at the box office with Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, but has quickly emerged as a frontrunner, solidifying its status as a major box office success.
