During the first IPL qualifier match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Bollywood actor and KKR team owner, Shahrukh Khan, suffered a heat stroke. The match took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
Shahrukh Khan, who was present to support his team, was rushed to KD Hospital this afternoon. Fortunately, he received prompt medical attention and was discharged after receiving first aid. Sources indicate that his health is now stable.
The actor has been in Ahmedabad for the past two days. Following KKR’s match yesterday, he returned to the ITC Narmada Hotel late at night. However, his health deteriorated this morning, leading to his hospitalisation. He returned to the hotel around 1 pm after receiving treatment.
Ahmedabad has been sweltering under extreme heat, with the maximum temperature reaching 45 degrees Celsius today. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the city for the next two days, with temperatures expected to soar to 46 degrees Celsius.
