“The only reason that the Government sold Air India is bad management by the company.” – said Kamlesh Patel, a native of Mehsana whose seven bags out of eight went missing while travelling from Delhi to Chicago in Air India flight AI127.
Tata Group is all set to take over Air India by the third week of January, 2022, however, till that time, the old guards at Air India are doing exactly what made the Government to sell Air India – severe mismanagement.
A complaint was lodged by Kamlesh Patel who was travelling to Chicago with his wife and son Harsh on November 11 . After landing at Orlando, he was shocked to learn that seven out eight bags of his family were missing.
Patel, who did not get the bag, then lodged a complaint with Air India to which he had not received any acknowledgement. He alleged that Air India was not ready to hear any complaint. So Patel finally resorted to social media and went viral with a video expressing his grief.
When Team VOI reached out to Kamlesh Patel to talk about the incident, he said “even after 4 days of my family’s follow up with emails and visits, there is no satisfactory response from Air India staff. Instead of handling query of customer, the staff shouts at the complainants.”
He further added, ”The only reason that Government sold Air India is bad management by the company. No airline company shouts at their customers.”
He is hoping to find his luggage soon after the staff assured him to sort the issue from their end however this surely comes as a rude shock to the people travelling by Air india.
