Superstar Salman Khan, on Monday, appealed to fans to enjoy his Diwali release, Tiger 3, responsibly after videos circulated on social media showing viewers igniting firecrackers inside a movie theatre during the film’s screening.
In a show at Mohan Cinema in Maharashtra’s Nashik district on Sunday night, a group of fans set off firecrackers, causing panic among moviegoers, according to police sources.
Salman addressed the incident in a post on X, stating, “I’m hearing about fireworks inside theaters during Tiger 3. This is dangerous. Let’s enjoy the film without putting ourselves and others at risk. Stay safe.”
Police are in the process of filing charges under sections 435 (mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause damage) and 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code. The identity of the individuals involved is yet to be established.
Tiger 3, a Yash Raj Films production starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi and directed by Maneesh Sharma, was released on Sunday to coincide with Diwali.
