The much-anticipated Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Diwali release, ‘Tiger 3’, has slowed down in theatres after an initial great run.
However, though not as high as anticipated, it is still raking in good numbers at the domestic box office, especially in the smaller towns.
‘Tiger 3’ is the third instalment in the Tiger franchise and the fifth one in YRF spy universe. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, it was one of the most anticipated films of the year, which opened with great reviews.
In India, the film has the potential to enter the Rs 250-crore club by the end of this week. It remains to be seen how it performs over the weekend.
The action-thriller earned Rs 44.50 on its opening day in India, across all languages. On Day 10, November 21, it saw a dip and added Rs 6.35 crore to its total, according to trade reports.
The total collection of ‘Tiger 3’ now stands at Rs 243.60 crore in India. The film saw an overall occupancy of 12.14 per cent on Tuesday.
‘Tiger 3’ follows ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’, and ‘Pathaan’ in the YRF Spy Universe. The film sees Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprising their roles as Avinash and Zoya, respectively. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, ‘Tiger 3’ is produced by Aditya Chopra. The film has cameos by Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan.
Its soundtrack is composed by ace music composer Pritam, while the background score is composed by Tanuj Tiku. Reportedly, ‘Tiger 3’ was made on an estimated budget of Rs 300 crore, thus making it the most expensive project of Yash Raj Films.
