Before getting married, Chennai Super Kings batter Ruturaj Gaikwad and his wife Utkarsha Pawar held a traditional South Indian engagement ceremony as an homage to CSK and the supporters.
On June 3, Ruturaj and Utkarsha, who both play cricket for Maharashtra, exchanged vows in Mahabaleshwar.
South Indian traditions were followed for the engagement ceremony before the wedding. Ruturaj wore a white shirt and veshti, and Utkarsha looked stunning in a light blue silk sari with gold borders.
Ruturaj wrote on Instagram, “Utkarsha was part of my life and my journey right from the start and knew exactly About the Important Aspects of my Life.”
He further wrote ‘She decided to dedicate the entire traditional Maharashtrian engagement to The Chennai People and the South culture Because of The importance of that city and what Chennai Super Kings Have done to my Life! Indeed it turned out to be really really Special!! I love you! Utkarsha.’
