As many as 52 flights arriving and departing at the Ahmedabad – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport have been rescheduled and 30 flights have been cancelled because of runway maintenance work.
The runway construction work that began today will continue till May 31, 2022, between 9 am and 6 pm except for Sundays and other public holidays. Almost 170 flights operating from the airport will depart or arrive before or after working hours. Fifty-two flights have been rescheduled and 30 flights have been cancelled.
The airport encourages online check-in. Additional check-in counters and baggage drop-in counters have been deployed at the airport. SpiceJet operations are expected to shift to Terminal 1 from Terminal 2 in February.
