Lalit Modi and Sushmita Sen have initiated hot gossip in the town after the former publicly announced their relationship online. Their photos have gone viral on the internet after Modi posted them with the caption “A new beginning, a new life finally. Over the moon. Love does not mean marriage yet. But by God’s Grace that will happen. I just announced that we are together. “
Just a day later, Ruchir Modi was asked about his views on his father’s new declaration to which he replied that he does not wish to interfere as it has his father’s life and his decision. He refused to share any other opinion saying that it was their family policy not to share personal matters in media.
The IPL Chairman, who is now 56 announced he is dating Sushmita who is 46; he also revealed that he intends to marry her soon. The whole scene took place on July 14 when he posted pictures of himself with Sushmita from different holidays and social gatherings and wrote that the two were dating. He used words such as “better half” and “new beginning” in his text.
He also posted a tweet for clarification, in which he said, not married just dating. But that too will happen soon.
Lalit was previously married to Minal Modi with whom he shared 27 years of togetherness until she passed away in 2018 after battling cancer. Sushmita has not shared any official statement. The Mai Hoon Na actress was in a relationship with Rohman Shawl, till last year December. During her break-up, she commented, “We began as friends, we remain friends!! The relationship was long over…the love remains!!.”
