At a public gathering organized on Wednesday, RSS leader Indresh Kumar stated that India should adopt a common dress code in schools. He was speaking in the backdrop of the Hijab controversy at a Muslim Rashtriya Manch event in Ekta Nagar, Narmada district.
“We wear different dresses as per the occasions. We dress in one way when we are doing household chores, another for going out to a market or office. We pick a different dress for happy and sad occasions accordingly. Those who wanted to disrupt the education of daughters and disturb the unity of the country, tried to play with the future of the girl child. I don’t know if you are standing with that zulm (injustice) or with real Islam and humanity… Only you know this,” Kumar told the gathering. He also quoted a verse from the Holy Quran and to explain his point about respecting people’s way of living.
