Gujarat ATS on Thursday arrested three more people, including two Afghan nationals, in connection with the discovery of Heroin worth Rs 280 crores from a boat in the Arabian Sea in April, in which nine Pakistani nationals were previously detained.
Gujarat ATS and the Indian Coast Guard arrested a boat from Pakistan in the Arabian Sea on April 25 in a joint operation, and confiscated 56 kg Heroin from the accused, according to the statement.
The three suspects arrested today have been named as Khari Hamidullah, Mohammad Hakim, and Azim Ahmed, all of whom are from New Delhi and Uttarakhand, respectively.
“Based on the intelligence obtained by ATS, ATS and the coastguard crew searched the Pakistani yacht, Al Hajj, which was 14 NM in Indian seas and we seized 56 packets of heroin weighing roughly 56 kgs worth 280 crore,” the ATS declared in an official announcement.
