Narendra Modi who left home at an early age, firstly for spiritual pursuit and then as fate would have it in the service of the nation, remained a devoted son to his mother. The media glare that attracted PM’s occasional visits to his mother portrayed humane inside behind his stern exterior of an able administrator.
Today, when Narendra Modi came to cast his vote in Ahmedabad, it was the first time after the demise of his mother at the ripe age of 99 on 30th December 2022. The Prime Minister used to take blessings from his mother every time he visited the city on polling day as his name figures in the voter list of Ahmedabad
The prime Minister is seen being moved at the reference to the loss of his mother. Today Narendra Modi’s elder brother Somabhai Modi also went teary-eyed in public when asked about his mother. He said ; ” Wherever she would be, she might be blessing Narendrabhai.”
