Reliance Jio, one of India’s leading telecom operators, has announced a tariff hike that will take effect from July 3. This move comes after a gap of approximately two-and-a-half years since the last rate adjustment.
Key Changes in Mobile Services Rates:
- The lowest recharge price will increase to ₹19, representing a 27% rise from the previous ₹15 for a 1 GB data add-on pack.
- The 75 GB postpaid data plan will now cost ₹449, up from ₹399.
- The popular ₹666 unlimited plan with an 84-day validity has been revised to ₹799, reflecting a 20% increase.
Jio’s Commitment to Quality and Affordability:
In its official statement, Jio emphasized its commitment to providing high-quality services at competitive prices. The company’s rollout of True 5G technology positions India as a global leader, with nearly 85% of the country’s operational 5G cells being powered by Jio. Users can expect a superior 5G experience on Jio’s network, complete with unlimited data on leading plans at no extra cost.
