Ranveer Singh is set to reprise his role as a Gujarati Romeo, a character he played to perfection in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali blockbuster Ram Leela, in Yash Raj Film’s upcoming Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
“I’m playing a Gujarati boy again after Ram Leela, a film that gave me stardom,” Ranveer said, “Ram Leela showered me with great love from people all around the world, especially Gujaratis! Even now, if I meet a Gujarati, they usually say how much they like my portrayal in Ram Leela.”
“I adore everything about Gujarat – its culture, its vitality, its ambition to be the greatest, and most importantly, its people,” Ranveer said, “I’m hoping people enjoy Jayeshbhai Jordaar and my performance in it. I’ve given it my best, and I feel we have something extremely special to offer them.”

The much-anticipated Jayeshbhai Jordaar, helmed by rookie Divyang Thakkar, also stars Shalini Pandey, who makes her Bollywood debut opposite Ranveer. The film will be released internationally on May 13, 2022.
