Five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners Mumbai Indians (MI) were invited to bat first by Gujarat Titans (GT) at Brabourne Stadium on Friday. Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma finally returned to form as he hit a quickfire 43 runs off 28 balls to give Mumbai Indians a strong hand in the first innings. Not only did Rohit play a remarkable knock but he also stitched an important 70-run stand with Ishan Kishan (29-ball 45 runs) to power Mumbai Indians to a solid 177/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Tim David too came up with a valuable quickfire 21-ball 44 against Gujarat.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh celebrated Rohit Sharma’s six during the match by hopping up and down and fisting the air. The actor wore a printed purple floral shirt, matching pants, and a white bucket cap. He accessorized his look with a pearl string and DGs.
Ranveer had posted multiple images of himself wearing the attire on Instagram. Arjun Kapoor responded to the post by writing, “Purple Patch.” Anaita Shroff Adajania commented: “Valentino blooms on you.”
