Ranbir Kapoor, who made his debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Sawaariya, is ready to collaborate with the filmmaker again for the epic Love and War. However, this time, Ranbir has reportedly laid down some ‘terms and conditions’ in his contract, to avoid the unpleasant experiences he had while working with Bhansali as an assistant director in Black.
Ranbir had revealed in an interview that Bhansali used to make him kneel down for hours, hit him and abuse him during the shoot of Black. To ensure a ‘civil shooting environment’, Ranbir has asked Bhansali to stick to the timelines of the shoot, have fixed working hours and maintain proper discipline on the set. Ranbir’s wife and co-star Alia Bhatt, who has worked with Bhansali in Gangubai Kathiawadi, helped the two sort out their issues and agree on the terms and conditions.
Love and War, which also stars Vicky Kaushal, is expected to go on floors in November and wrap up by July 2025. Ranbir has other commitments from August 2025, including the screen adaptation of Ramayan and Animal Park.
