Adil Khan Durrani, the former spouse of actress Rakhi Sawant, has tied the knot with Somi Khan, a participant from Bigg Boss 12. The couple exchanged vows on March 3, and Adil took to Instagram to share a collection of photos from their wedding. The first image showcased the newlyweds holding their Nikah Nama (marriage certificate). Somi was radiant in a vibrant red lehenga, while Adil chose an off-white embroidered sherwani to match his bride. The post also included glimpses of their nikah ceremony.
In a heartfelt note accompanying the photos, Adil expressed his joy, “Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. We are thrilled to announce that we have solemnized our Nikkah in a simple yet beautiful ceremony. We are grateful for this blessing and extend our thanks to our families and friends for their love and support. We look forward to starting our new journey as husband and wife. However, it’s important to recall that Adil’s previous marriage to Rakhi Sawant was fraught with controversy. Rakhi announced her marriage to Adil in January last year, sharing their marriage certificate and several pictures on Instagram. She expressed her happiness and excitement about their union. But soon after, their relationship took a turn for the worse.
Rakhi accused Adil of domestic violence, extramarital affairs, and mishandling her funds. Following Rakhi’s FIR, Mumbai Police arrested Adil on February 7, 2023. After spending five months in jail, Adil accused Rakhi of deceit and claimed she had lied about divorcing her previous husband, Ritesh Singh. By March, Rakhi confirmed that she and Adil were parting ways.
