The District Land Valuation Committee (DLVC) of Rajkot finally approved a proposal to allot 100 acres to the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation in Dhandhani village on the eastern outskirts of the city for a proposed dairy plant.
The proposal will now be forwarded to the Gujarat government for final approval.
This decision comes months after the dairy federation turned down an offer of 70 acres in the Navagam village by terming the land valuation as unaffordable.
